Assisted Living Center Hoogeland, Naaldwijk
At the Hoogeland location in Naaldwijk, Royal Haskoning Architects designed a contemporary assisted living center. Living is at the heart of this design. In various forms of housing, ranging from apartments to small groups of psychogeriatric patients, care can be customized.
The housing forms are realized within a flexible structure and are mutually interchangeable. In an integrated team this structure has been developed further in order to make reversible and flexible building more than just a wish: it has been made feasible both technically and financially.
The design is small-scale, with a little square at the center. The main blocks are made recognizable in brick and plasterwork. Between the blocks are gardens, living rooms and facilities. A lovely atrium is the meeting place for residents and visitors from the surrounding neighborhood.
