AaBé Tilburg
Shopping Mall
Wool mill AaBé, famous since the 1930’s in Tilburg and far beyond, will be converted into a 40.000 m2 shopping mall for furnishing and leisure stores.
The building’s backbone, a 300 meters long internal factory street, has through the years connected new extensions to the ensemble. The street will be reused in its total length as an axis and vista and as a structuring element it will guarantee the cohesion.
Within this scheme, older extensions can be replaced by new ones. In the new situation there will be a balance between historic and contemporary elements.
