Baku Ferry Terminal

Symbolism, sustainability and efficiency come together in this iconic building at the heart of Baku’s harbour. The crescent and star from Azerbaijan’s national flag shape the terminal, while traditonal geometric patterns find their way to floor tilings and façades. The central oasis and other green spaces, as well as the use of natural climate regulation systems and renewable energy sources make for an environmentally friendly, 21st century building. Organizing and distributing many different flows of people, traffic and goods, the terminal welcomes visitors from all over the country.
