This prize winning concept is about a metropolis to live in, a transport oriented development that gives the public space of the city back to its inhabitants, rather than just the cars of its inhabitants. It consists of a well balanced mix of strategic highways, water transport and transit lines.

Palm Deira is a project with incredible challenges: integrating the needs of economic viability and spatial quality, keeping up with the fame and expectations of the previous projects, using the leverage of its magnitude to enhance the quality of the existing urban core. In 2020 1.2 million inhabitants will live in Palm Deira that is about as many as live in the whole of Dubai at the moment.
