Renovation and extension of the Royal Netherlands Embassy at New Delhi, India

The district where the Royal Netherlands Embassy for India in New Delhi is located consists mainly of detached buildings in an open, green environment, mainly in use as offices for diplomatic missions. The area of the embassy consists of several buildings in a garden setting, erected in 1968. Besides the chancellery building there are apartments for embassy personnel and villas for the staff. The site area is 27.000 m2.
The purpose of the remodeling of the chancellery building by Royal Haskoning is besides the improvement of the earth quake resistance, a renovation of the office facilities, installations, safety doors, meeting room and a connection to the consular section. The gross floor area is 3600 m2.
