"Le Rhône", Zwolle

Functional, abstract, rational

Le Rhône is an office building, situated on Koggelaan, the main road in the Hanzeland district. It is located near Zwolle station and next to the Town Hall. Le Rhône forms an urban ensemble with the adjacent office building Le Loire. The two buildings are linked by a visually light arcade, providing daylight, air and transparency to the ground floor. The rhythm of the façade above is defined by off-set brickwork piers and a slender concrete framework.
