Kloosterdijk bridge
The new drawbridge over the canal Almelo
The Haandrik is the third in a total of five bridges to be renovate in order to make the canal suitable for larger vessels.
The design consists of a single cantilever column with 2 balances.
The balance shapes ymbolizes the bond created by the new bridge between the two sides of the waterway.
