Master plan Station area Leeuwarden

This is the master plan for the area north of the station of Leeuwarden. Currently the site is an urban vacuum, only partly used for parking of buses and cars. In the next few years the area will be transformed into an attractive and multifunctional part of the city. The master plan is an important decision document, fixating the urban ambition, it has been developed in close cooperation with the Municipality of of Leeuwarden and NS Vastgoed. The master plan describes the integral ambition of the area in terms of potential for development, public space and infrastructure requirements. Much attention has been paid to the circulation of cars and buses. The program encompasses a cinema, office buildings and a new central bus station for Friesland.
