Official opening Horizon College

The Horizon College in Hoorn is officially opened on Friday 10 October. The College is a textbook example of a dynamic design for the learning environment. The entire learning concept revolves around an open learning centre which floats like a ‘learning island’ in the heart of the school. A new building has been built between two existing buildings; on completion it was linked to a section of the old building. After the move the redundant buildings have been demolished, freeing up space for parking. The rest of the site will be disposed of. The life of the college continued throughout this time without expensive temporary solutions.
